Just like the White Muscovy, these sleek black ducklings come with their own unique charm. Originally found in the swamps and rivers of Brazil, Black Muscovies stand out with their striking dark feathers and vibrant red faces. Over time, commercial breeding has focused on white Muscovies for a cleaner look, but we’re thrilled to offer this classic, native color. Just like our White Muscovy, these dark-feathered beauties are fantastic for meat.
In fact, Muscovy ducks are a favorite in France, where over half of the ducks consumed are Muscovy. You’ll also find them on the menu at many top restaurants in the U.S. The Black Muscovy offers leaner meat than Pekin ducks, with males boasting impressively large, almost beefy breasts often served rare. Plus, they’re a popular choice for meat in the Middle East, Central America, and South America. With its rich flavor and tender texture, the Black Muscovy is a great addition for anyone looking to elevate their culinary game.
